International Thalassemia Day

Every May 8th, International Thalassemia Day is observed to raise awareness about this inherited genetic condition that affects hemoglobin production and can lead to chronic anemia.

Prevention, early diagnosis, and education are essential tools to improve the quality of life of those affected. Knowing family medical history and undergoing timely medical testing can make a significant difference in the detection and management of the disease.

At NANEMIAR, we reaffirm our commitment to awareness, research, and access to diagnosis, promoting initiatives that contribute to advancing scientific knowledge about thalassemia.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the patients and families who collaborate with research by providing biological samples. Their trust and participation are essential to continue developing better diagnostic and therapeutic tools.

Knowledge is prevention. Detection is care.
