NANEMIAR and collaborators participate in the European Researchers’ Night 2026
September 25, 2026 | Murcia, Spain
The NANEMIAR team, part of the Murcian Institute of Biosanitary Research (IMIB),
participated in the European Researchers’ Night 2026, one of Europe’s largest science
outreach events, promoted by the European Commission within the framework of the Marie
Skłodowska-Curie Actions of the Horizon Europe programme.
On the afternoon of Friday, September 25, the University of Murcia (UMU) brought science
and research closer to society through numerous free activities aimed at audiences of all
ages. Plaza de la Universidad and Plaza de la Merced became meeting points between
researchers and citizens, offering a unique opportunity to discover science in an accessible,
dynamic and interactive way.
The European Researchers’ Night aims to bring research closer to society, allowing the
public to learn first-hand about the work of researchers and discover how science
contributes to addressing different challenges and improving people’s quality of life.
The NANEMIAR team joined this initiative to bring its research closer to the general public
and raise awareness of its work in the field of congenital anemias.
During the event, NANEMIAR had the opportunity to share its research with people of all
ages, explain some of the challenges faced by patients with hematological diseases, and
show how biomedical research can contribute to the development of new therapeutic
alternatives and, ultimately, improve their quality of life.
